The Urantia Book Network is a social network based on the book Urantia. The app allows different types of users to connect and communicate with each other via this system. Users of the app can read The Urantia Book in its entirety on the app while also being able to purchase other eBooks from the in-app marketplace. The app is catered to serve three types of users: readers, professors, and vendors.
Readers purchase and read the books on the app, Professors assist the Readers with questions related to a book, and Vendors sell their eBooks on the app. Urantia is an online marketplace for books with all the functionalities of a proper social media application!

The features of Urantia can be compared to existing mainstream applications like WhatsApp, Skype, and Facebook. Urantia is a social networking platform for readers, professors, and vendors alike. Readers can read books, professors can assist readers, and vendors can sell their books.
Urantia App Features
Users can read the entire The Urantia Book from the app and also purchase other books from the Marketplace. The app boasts four groups (Study, Prayer, Service, and Art) for readers and professors to interact with each other. Users can also share media through the application and maintain an in-app social network with their friends.
Group Chat
Each study group comprises a group chat window. All the participants of the group will be able read and write their messages. Every message sent will appear on the screens of all the participants. This screen will also include the icon to start group video calls.
Group Video Calls
Urantia allows its users to start and participate in group video calls. Any member of the group will be able to start a group video call at any time. The group leader will be the user who created the group in the application.
My Followers
Urantia users can follow each other through the app’s built-in social networking feature. The social networking feature is comparable to mainstream social media apps.
Store/ Marketplace
The marketplace section of the application enables users to browse, search, and find different eBooks, artwork, images, etc. uploaded by Vendors. Users will then be able to contact the Vendor if they are interested in a purchase.
Events
Events can be livestreamed or uploaded as a video much like popular social media applications do.
Instant Messaging/ Chat
Readers on the app can chat with each other as well as with Professors and Vendors on the app. The instant messaging on Urantia is fast, end-to-end encrypted, and efficient.
